Over the last couple of years the automobile industry has seen unprecedented new car dealer incentives such as no or low interest rates and employee pricing for everyone. Those deals are hard to pass up, and many of our A1 Auto Services customers (and even a few employees) have considered purchasing, or have already purchased a new vehicle. Many of those customers have asked the very same question I posed to Mark back when I purchased my then new 1990 Toyota Corolla. That question was, “Can I have my new car serviced at A1 Auto Service, or do I have to take it to the dealership in order to keep my warranty valid?”

 The answer is the same now as it was in 1990; yes, you can absolutely have your new car serviced at A1 Auto Service and still maintain the manufacturer’s warranty. The reason for this is because the dealership must honor your warranty, provided you have documentation that you have performed the scheduled maintenance at the appropriate intervals ( The Magnuson-Moss Act ) . However, that maintenance is not required to be performed by the dealer.
